National Committee

I was born in Balıkesir in 1963. I graduated from Gülhane Military Medical School in 1987. I became a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist in 1994. I worked at Bursa Military Hidroclimatology Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Hospital for two years. I attended Gülhane Military Medical Academy Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department as Assistant Professor in 1996. I became Associate Professor in 1999 and attended Turkish Armed Forces Rehabilitation and Care Center in 2000. I was promoted to Professor in the same department and hospital in 2005. I became an algology specialist in 2011. I am a certified kinesio taping instructor since 2014. My fields of interest include pain medicine, ozone therapy, invasive algological interventions, ozone injections, kinesio taping, and manual therapy. I am also an instructor at Turkish Ministry of Health Ozone Courses. I am a member of the International Society of Spinal Cord Injury (ISCoS) and the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics (ISPO). I am also a member of the Turkish Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Association, Turkish League Against Rheumatism, Spinal Cord Diseases Association, and Turkish Scientific Association of Prosthetics and Orthotics. I am a part-time lecturer at METU on disability and health policy. I am the founder of the Turkish Armed Forces Rehabilitation Disabled Sports Team and amputee football in Turkey.

He has a bachelor’s degree in Health Administration. He provides consultancy services with 28 years of experience in the prosthetics-orthotics and medical sector. He is one of Turkey’s internationally respected and limited soft orthosis manufacturers. He is the former president of the Prosthesis and Orthotists Association. He has actively taken part in many national and international projects and studies in the field of prosthetics and orthotics.

He completed his secondary education with a strong science background and represented his country in the “First Step to Nobel Prize in Physics” program with his study titled Thermograph. He is a Mechanical Engineer specialized in Machine Theory and Dynamics, and a researcher in biomechanical systems and wearable robots. He took part in the National Movement Analysis Working Group. His work focuses on mathematical modeling and analysis of human movement and the development of pathology-oriented treatment protocols derived from motion analysis. He worked as a researcher and assistant project manager in TÜBİTAK TEYDEP 1501 and 1507 supported R&D projects. Within the scope of the European Committee MDD and its new form MDR, he conducted clinical studies, risk analyses, validation, and usability studies. He currently continues his R&D activities at INSOL Innovative under the title “Generalized Walking Concept and Eigenvalue Analysis”. He also manages prosthetic applications as the second generation of GERÇEK Prosthesis-Orthosis and Rehabilitation Center, established in 1984.

She completed her undergraduate education at Hacettepe University, School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation between 1994 and 1998. She received her postgraduate degree from Hacettepe University, Institute of Health Sciences, Prosthetics-Orthotics and Biomechanics with thesis between 1999 and 2001. She completed her doctorate at Pamukkale University, Institute of Health Sciences, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation between 2005 and 2010. Her doctoral thesis focused on the comparison of the effects of lateral wedge and subtalar bandage applications in women with knee osteoarthritis. Her postgraduate thesis evaluated physical fitness in individuals with pes planus. She has been serving as a Professor at Ankara University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Orthotics and Prosthetics since 2019. She has also been working as a Lecturer PhD at Ankara University, Vocational School of Health Services, Department of Health Programs since 2010.

I was born in Kahramanmaraş in 1997. I completed my undergraduate education at Ankara University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Orthotics and Prosthetics with a GPA of 3.70 out of 4.00. My undergraduate thesis focused on orthosis design for nerve and flexor tendon injuries resulting from carpal bone fractures in the hand. I published a paper titled “Lower Extremity Kinematic Analysis with Increasing Heel Height in Women Using High-Heeled Shoes” at the International Orthotic and Prosthetic Student Congress. I am a member of the audit committee of the Turkish Prosthetics Orthotics Undergraduate Graduates Association (POLMEDER) and serve as the Ankara representative. I am currently a master’s student in the Department of Physiology at Düzce University Faculty of Medicine.
